Comments: S397 Proposed Amendments

why do the Dems insist on making law after law? The laws won't change a thing, and will just add to the already overwhelmed Justice system problems. GUNS kill people, but at the hand of other PEOPLE. Just like cars for crissakes. LOL
(It's not really funny but hey...)Teddy Kennedy sucks. Big time.

wouldn't hollow points be LESS likely to penetrate the polices body armor?

I propose we rename them "cop SAVER bullets".

I'm wondering why any of these amendments are being allowed in the first place. My understanding is there are rules that Frist could use to get a vote on the bill only, no amendments allowed. So why isn't he using it?

The amendments to give a certain class of people (Policemen, Children, Etc) special and separate rights apart from the citizenry, under the law, is unconstitutional. That is what equal protection under the law means. This type of legislation has consistanly been overturned, Here in New York State, by the appellate courts.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" are currently banned as well. Another common bounce is any word containing the string "cialis" which means words such as socialism will be rejected. Try putting a hyphen into a word like that.
