Comments: Bunch-O-Guns Recovered

They've been the BATFE for a while now. If I remember correctly it was sometime in the post 9/11 Homeland Security ramp-up.

Keep in mind, who better to keep renegade model rocket enthusiasts behind bars than the BATFe?

Dont forget to buy your $200 tax stamp.

The guns have been recovered but they were hidden in several different locations. Some outdoors. One set at a trash dump. (Info from local tv reports not online.) And we have had some heavy rains the last week. No way of knowing what condition they will be in when they are finally returned to Cabelas, but I bet they won't be pristine.

And their S/Ns will have been recorded as "stolen". Any bets that the numbers get taken off of that list? I don't think I want to own a gun that I know has been reported stolen.

BATFE? Yeah. They still like to be called ATF agents though. I think the three letter acronym makes 'em feel more professional, like the FBI. And "ATF" looks great on their windbreakers while storming a home. Watch out kitty.

ATF, BAT-FEces, or whatever, still sounds like
F-Troop to me!

I had a fairly recent encounter with the ATF. I still have the investigator's cards in my wallet. The old one said "ATF Inspector" and the new one says "ATF Investigator". Her shirt and coat said "ATF" in big letters. She called them her "shoot me clothes". Whenever she could do so and abide by the regulations she would have them covered up. I didn't ask, but from everything I could tell they still go by the letters ATF instead of ATFE.

Additional note--she has been a member of the NRA for something like 20 years.

Your comments are welcome. You don't need to enter a URL and you don't need a "valid" email address, either. Note that MT Blacklist is installed to flag suspiciously spam-like strings. Unfortunately, because of the bastard spammers, the strings "google.com" and "yahoo.com" are currently banned as well. Another common bounce is any word containing the string "cialis" which means words such as socialism will be rejected. Try putting a hyphen into a word like that.
