NASHUA, N.H. Animal control and humane society workers have removed 27 abandoned cats from a Nashua (New Hampshire) apartment reeking of cat urine and feces.A leasing agent says the cats were left behind by tenants facing eviction. She says Robert and Rose Savage and their two children left the three-bedroom apartment late Tuesday night, taking seven cats with them but leaving behind more than two dozen in filthy conditions.
Police say they aren't sure whether there would be any criminal charges.
