Cleaning Dog Ears

Here's a helpful story for you dog owners (and there's also a video) from TV 9 (Albany NY) on how to (and why you should) keep your dog's ears clean.

Our part-Lab, Houdi, has a problem with damp ears.

We use vinegar water, about a table spoon in a peanut butter jar of water. Warmed just slightly in the microwave.

We use old white socks turned inside out to do the cleaning. The nubby side cleans really well. You can put your hand inside it and use your finger to do the cleaning.

She loves it.

Our little Chihuahua, Jacqueline, keeps the ears of our Maltese, Angel very clean. She also cleans the cat's ears, and in the mornings if I do not wake up fast enough, mine as well.
