To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

At night, all three cats pile onto my bed and go to sleep with me. During the day though, each has their own "spots" for napping. Sambo has her own unused part of a sectional couch. Critter has two chairs he occupies. Rainbow has a nest made of a soft blanket in the circular base of a coffee table.

But I have to say, there are some quite sophisticated beds now available for your dogs and cats.

Since I've glommed five of the pictures from their creators, it's only fair that I provide links to the companies (I'm sure they won't mind since I'm sending business their way.)

See the second photo on the right? That's a special "chew resistant" cover! And the one below that is an actual inner-spring mattress with a "pillow-top."

Let's face it, nothing's too good for our pets. Where do yours do their daytime snoozing? And do you let them sleep on your bed at night (if they want)?

Notice how the chocolate lab in the orvis.com photo is EATING his bed? Heh. Ours has a choice: fancy "dog" bed, but also on any sofa or chair or people-bed in the house.

Nothing is too good for our pets. Especially the humor we provide them when we humans go out and buy them all of this ztuff only to have them sniff at it and then promptly plant their backsides back down in the covers and on the pillows of the bed again.

It's as if they are saying, "Oh! You bought yourself a new bed? Looks kinda small for you. Well, I'll be up here if you need anything. Just don't disturb me while I'm sleeping unless it's to save me from peril. YAWN!" :::stretch....knead paws, turn three times::: "Good night."

My cats sleep everywhere. When my mother bought a pair of fancy wing chairs, the cats took over. Now she keeps them covered in bedsheets so the cats can lounge and she doesn't have to get cat hair out of the nice furniture. They used to sleep in my old recliner, but I took the recliner with me when I moved. Now I'm looking for a good-sized apartment that's pet-friendly so my folks can bring them up to visit.
