Political Dogs...

Okay, I just said this wouldn't be a blog about politics but let's face it, politics, social issues, everything creeps into all of our lives.

I have to ask... If Kerry and Bush were dogs, what species would they be? Have at it!...

Two Chihuahuas. Small insignifigant critters that are all bark and no bite.

I sort of see Kerry as that... Bush is more like (excluding the campaign season) a doberman, quiet, focused, maybe not the sharpest tack in the box (but actually dobermans are smart so scratch that...)

I see Kerry as a Poodle...a smart friendly dog, but perceived to be a pet of the elites, and doomed to be valued only for its looks. A dog that has lost its roots as a hunter and been forced into a life as a pretty companion.

I see Bush as a Border Collie...the smartest dog, fast, scrappy, playful, and with great endurance. A dog that needs a productive job to be happy. A dog you want by your side when there is work to do...but not necessarily one you would easily keep in the house.

Don't rag on me about my choices...I love ALL dogs...but you did ask, afterall.

I see Bush more as a mutt than anything else. Kerry is definitely a pure-bred something-or-other. We'll just have to wait and see what problems develop because of his pure-bred stock.

Kerry-Irish Setter
Bush- i go with mutt here... one of those nondiscript looking types with some hound and some German Shepherd in them. Easy to make fun of, no sort of champion in the show ring. But, canny, loyal and good-hearted.

Bush is some sort of mix bred mutt. A labradoodle or maybe a cross between a black lab (loyal and playful, but they've got a mean set of teeth and you don't want to be bit by one) and a border collie (playful cuning and canny)

Kerry - a toy poodle or maybe a Shitzu. basically a small little yappy annoying lap dog type someone like barbara streisand would have for a pet. Vey well groomed and manicured. Lots of style, little substance. Says what it takes to be liked (unlike the Bush lab which does what it wants)

I see Bush as a rottweiler, one who is vicious, full of hate, who will attack and kill.

I see Kerry as a golden retriever who is trustworthy.

Kerry: Lhasa Apso, because he looks like one.

Bush: miniature pinscher, because before i got a close look at him, he looked kinda cool. But now I realize he's just a little yippie dog like the rest.

I think dogs are too good to be compared with these two schmucks so I won't insult the pooches and will pick non-cannine species instead.

If I had to pick one for Bush, it would be a rat. Rats are vicious. Try to kill them and they will come back to haunt you. They will destroy everything you have in the house. Look what Bush did to those foreigners who did not agree with him.

If I had to pick one for Kerry, it would be a coyote. He howls too much and can be quite annoying.

President Bush is an English Bulldog. Mostly calm, but tenacious when he gets his teeth into something. OK, he looks nothing like a Bulldog, but I just like the breed.

Kerry is an Afghan Hound. I don't really know why, that's just the breed that came to mind. Maybe the looks. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/afghan.htm

I notice that many of you chose a dog for Kerry that has "big hair." Sort of like his... (Yeah, I'm jealous.)
